Pince and Pints

Pince and Pints in Duxton Hill is a the newish lobster joint in the same fashion as the infamous Burger & Lobster in London. They keep it simple there, service is polite and efficient, and there are only 3 ways to order your lobster; steamed/grilled, in a roll or a Singaporean chilli style (This is the wrong option). And all for a very cool S$48.

There are also no reservations, any effort at getting a table for dinner will result in a good hour or so wait, but they do give you the option of being called up so you don’t have to stand queueing like a buffoon for hours and hours.

The lobster roll was generously buttered and toasted to perfection. There is no better accomplice to a good lobster than its old buttery buddy butter; the inherent sweetness of the juicy lobster being match beautifully with rich salty butter on crunchy toasted bread. Mmm cholesterol!

Go to Pince and Pints if you have the time, there’s a lovely bookstore just round the corner for you to kill time during your wait.  It may not come close to the beautiful lobster rolls of Boston, but it’s the next best thing in Singapore.
